ABOUT MONTY
Monty is a self-taught artist who resides in the Fort Smith area.
Monty grew up in the Oklahoma City area and lived most of his life in or around the Oklahoma until 2010. He has been in the art field since 1992.
In 2010, Monty moved to the Fort Smith area and continued his career in the art field there.
His style of artwork is a wide gambit of creation. Monty enjoys the more exciting world of comic artwork. His works include X-Men, Marvel characters, The Walking Dead, Stranger Things, Chasing Amy, Chaos! Comics characters (Lady Death, Evil Ernie etc..), Fall Out and Elvira. Monty has been contracted as an Art Card Artist (formerly called a sketch card artist) for TOPPS, Upper Deck, Viceroy Cards and Dynamite Entertainment.
Monty also enjoys working on his graphic arts projects and has designed many logos for companies in the River Valley.
2023 has brought about some great opportunities. My first Professional comic cover was created for an independent small press comic company for Psycho Sal #3. William Russell trusted me enough with his creation to have me work on a cover for his book. Many more opportunities are around the corner just wait for them.
Monty is currently working on his own creator owned comic book that will be a 4 issue mini series. His idea of bringing back the nostalgia of the 1980's Marvel mini series from back in the day. More details to come soon.
ACTING & MONTY
Monty got into acting kind of by accident. He was creating props for a local film maker and then he was asked to be in one of the films as an extra with a speaking role. The rest is as they like to say well History.
Monty has now played two different EMT's on two separate films one short film and one full length feature and is set to play a baddie lead in yet another film in production.
Where will the acting go from here? Who knows but it's in the blood stream now for him and it's only gonna get better.
